About this website

This site is self-hosted (read the post) using k3s on European providers like Hetzner and BunnyCDN, mostly server-rendered using Java and Helidon, using JTE templates.

I intentionally don’t use AI tools for any writing here. I put a lot of care and thought in to it, and the uniqueness and imperfection are important to me. I do sometimes use Claude to get inspired with ideas for the backend, or perform large migrations. I think AI is a tool that can be powerful when used with care, and like any tool, is not automatically appropriate for all tasks (such as human expression).

Some links on this site might be "affiliate links", where I get account credit for referring new customers. I only use affiliate links for products I think are good. If that changes, I make a point of going back and removing the referral codes.
